Welcome to the Home Page of the  Army Security Agency (ASA) Chitose Association Inc. The group was founded in 1989 by a few friends who kept in contact after their assignment to Chitose, Japan with the ASA in the late 1950's. The purpose of the group is to hold annual reunions, publish a twice a year newsletter, and  help you relocate old friends. The group is a fraternal organization regardless of rank with an even mix of career types and single termers.  It is governed by a 6 member board. Day to day activities and routine matters are handled by Roy Gettz (321-259-7039) (asachitoseassn@att.net).  The purpose of  this site is to establish an "electronic presence" for the group on the World Wide Web.   If you've ever been assigned, attached to, or a dependent with ASA Chitose, you are encouraged to contact the group by e-mail, phone, or regular mail. IMPORTANT INFORMATION RENO REUNION The ONLY number you must use to reserve a room at Circus-Circus is 800 648 5010.Tell them you are with ASA Chitose reunion group. The following new rates for Sunday thru Wednesday are $51.93 that includes all taxes and fees. Thursday will be the same as before $59. + Taxes & fees. Friday & Saturday $79. + taxes and fees. If a hotel room is not booked through the association those attendees will pay a supplemental fee of $20 per room not booked and credited to the association. This is necessary to cover the cost of services supplied by the hotel due to our reservations. Due to the passing of the owner of Discovery tours we had to change to Pattys Tours. Prices remain the same. The telephone number is 775 453 1794. For those that booked through Discovery Tours it is advisable to contact Pattys Tours to make sure you are on the list. There will be no refunds for tour cancellations after August 15th unless a replacement booking is obtained. For those that want to make tour reservations after August 15th please call Keith at 425 806 3888 and I will see if there is an opening available. •   Help Keep Our Association in The Black  We need the help and support of all of our members to keep this organisation functioning. In order to keep the dues at a reasonable $5.00 we need to keep the percentage of our active members up. Your dues pay for the publication of the newsletters, our search efforts for lost comrades and other administrative expenses.You must be an active member to attend the reunions and receive the newsletters and roster. Dues are due by 1 January of each year and sent to Roy Gettz at 3091 Blackbird Court, Melbourne, FL 32935, make checks payable to the ASA Chitose Association. Your dues status is indicated just above your name on the address label of the newsletter. I would like to point out the following to all:
            A. There are no paid members in this organization.
            B. The dues support only the administrative effort, which includes newsletters, search effort and publication of rosters.
            C. The reunions are completely self supporting and normally return overages to the administrative fund.
            D. Souvenir sales are self supporting and run on a low profit margin. Profits are returned to the admin fund.  
   CHANGE Of ADDRESS-As we age and move around after our work years are behind us, please keep the association in mind and send us a change of address when you move. In most cases it took a lot of time and effort to locate you, we don't mind that but don't let it be wasted effort. For every 20 people we locate we normally lose at least 1 or 2.
